Digital Alliance Luna X2 Review: Mouse with Lots of Buttons
A mouse with a large number of buttons certainly has its own function as in the Digital Alliance Luna X2.
Digital Alliance itself is a gaming peripheral brand that is widely known by gamers because the price is quite affordable.
Gamedaim had the opportunity to review the Digital Alliance Luna X2. Check out his review below.
Box Digital Alliance Luna X2
The packaging of the Digital Alliance Luna X2 mouse seems crowded but still elegant.
On the front shows a photo of the mouse product while on the back contains the mouse specifications.
This mouse box can also be opened in 2 ways, namely from the top and from the front because there is an adhesive rubber on the front.
The package contains the purchase itself, that is, there is only a mouse and a manual that is mixed with the warranty card.
It was only on this occasion that the author saw a product that had a manual into one with the warranty card.
Big Mouse
The Luna X2 Digital Alliance mouse has a pretty solid build quality.
Has a plastic material, the body of the mouse is mixed with finishing glossy and doff.
This mouse has a standard mouse weight in general, which is 108 grams with a length of 13.5 cm, a width of 7.8 cm, and a height of 4.4 cm.
In terms of size, this mouse is suitable for the grip of writers who have quite large hands.
Although it has a non-ambidextrous and not classic shape, this mouse is ergonomic enough for gaming use.
The left side itself has a resting place for the thumb which makes it comfortable when the author uses it.
But unfortunately on the right side there is no place to lean on so it makes the little finger always touch the table surface.
Regarding the connectivity cable, this mouse carries a gold-plated USB cable with a length of 1.75 meters.
Gaming-Ready Mouse
Digital Alliance Luna X2 uses the Pixart PMW3325 sensor.
For its price range, a sensor like this is suitable to be applied to a mouse.
This sensor itself has a DPI range of up to 10000 DPI with a polling rate of 1000Hz and its own tracking speed of 100 ips.
This optical type sensor when I tried it for gaming on Apex Legends, it felt right for its accuracy and precision.
What’s more, the adjustable DPI makes the gaming experience more interesting.
Actually there are problems when the author uses this mouse for gaming. The author’s problem lies in the shape of the mouse which is too big and does not carry a classic design. Because again the author is used to the classic mouse shape and is not too adventurous.
This is just the author’s personal preference. For gaming use, this mouse has been able to bring out all of its capabilities to match fast-paced fps games.
Have a Total of 10 Buttons
With a total of 10 buttons, this Luna X2 mouse is perfect for playing MOBA games like Dota 2.
Because we know, Dota 2 requires buttons for the use of a lot of skills and items.
So to be more efficient than using the keys on the keyboard, we can switch them to the keys on the mouse.
On the side itself there are 3 additional buttons, namely: forward, backward, and DPI lock.
While at the top of the body of the mouse, there are 7 buttons which include: left button, right button, scroll button, DPI +, DPI -, three clicks, and switch effects.
The buttons use Huano switches with a resistance of 20 million clicks.
Especially the three click button and the switch effect is located indented or at the left end of the mouse.
Personally, the author is not comfortable with the position of the 2 buttons which are indented because it is a bit difficult for the author to click.
And the DPI lock button on the left is separate from forward and backward.
It would be nice, according to the author, if the button was aligned forward and backward so that the user’s thumb could get more room to lean on.
Moreover, the DPI lock function is actually represented by the DPI button located at the top of the mouse.
All of these 10 buttons we can change again according to their respective needs. We can change it through the Digital Alliance Luna X2 software which you can download through the official Digital Alliance website.
In the software itself, apart from changing the button preferences, we can change the DPI setting, RGB lighting, mouse parameters, to the polling rate.
Regarding the RGB lighting, it has many modes, among which we can set it to only one color or breathing mode.
In addition, there are also profile settings that we can save for certain uses.

Broadly speaking, the conclusion of this Digital Alliance Luna X2 review can be said that this mouse is suitable for those who have big hands and need a lot of buttons on the mouse.
This many buttons will be very useful if you are a MOBA gamer like Dota 2.
