After introducing Medina Othinanos as one of the new characters from Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris whose story itself is darker than its predecessor. Bandai Namco seems very confident about releasing the game next year, for fans of the novel and the anime.

Through its press release, Bandai Namco announced that Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 22, 2020. Through a short trailer, it appears that the visual appearance has changed for the better. Even though it’s quite short, you can see what the cutscenes and battles will look like when the game is released later.

Medina will be one of the original heroines of the game along with Deusolbert and Eldrie from the original anime. The story itself will dwell on the continuation of the last episode of the first season of the anime. Of course, with original spices that don’t exist in the current anime.

As usual, the game will be divided into standard and deluxe editions, both physical which will only be available on PlayStation 4, and digital for all platforms. Pre-ordering the physical version of the game will give you four resulting costumes contest which was held at the end of August.
