Microsoft's acquisition of Bethesda finally approved by European regulators
A few months ago, Microsoft officially acquired ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda. After this acquisition, Microsoft began to take care of several important matters, one of which was approval from European regulators.
Most recently, European regulators finally approved the acquisition by the company owned by Bill Gates.
European Regulators Agree
For those of you who don’t know, Microsoft a few months ago managed to acquire ZeniMax Media for $7.5 billion. Through this acquisition, Microsoft is entitled to all companies or subsidiaries of ZeniMax, one of which is Bethesda. Now, the developers of The Elder Scroll are under the control of Xbox.
Furthermore, European regulators recently officially approved Microsoft’s acquisition of ZeniMax Media. That means, Microsoft will soon hand over $7.5 billion to ZeniMax Media which they will use to all game studios like Bethesda.
This merger did not cause any major problems regarding its compatibility with the video game market as a whole.

Currently, Microsoft is just waiting for approval from the United States alone. If you get the green light, then Microsoft is officially in control of ZeniMax Media and all of its subsidiaries.
Microsoft Interested in Buying Some Other Game Studios
Based on a video made by Brad Sams, executive editor of the BMW Media Group, Microsoft and other well-known companies have the potential to acquire several game studios. For example, Amazon, Google, Sony, and EA are reportedly looking for studios for them to acquire.
Information regarding the acquisition of several studios by Microsoft is indeed quite interesting news. Moreover, Bloober Team is the foremost name that Microsoft will most likely buy. This rumor is also reinforced by the release of their game The Medium exclusively on Xbox Series X | S and PC.
So, Bloober Team has been a strong candidate for Microsoft to date regardless of whether Bill Gates’ company has other targets. However, despite Bloober Team’s pretty good track record, this studio can’t be said to have matched the scale of Bethesda.
