Positive EA Gives Signal to Return to Steam
What games will they bring to Steam?
The signal for the return of Electronic Arts to Steam is getting stronger. After yesterday it was discovered that their game Mirror’s Edge Catalyst which Valve accidentally showed when showing off Steam’s new look. Apparently this was followed by the existence of several other games such as The Saboteur which is only played by one person on Valve’s platform. Indicate that a well-known company with Need for Speedit really will come back. Indeed, this has not been proven from EA’s own mouth, but finally today they strengthened the signal.

This was echoed by a tweet from the official Electronic Arts account which uploaded a video of a cup of coffee with the EA logo emitting hot steam. They didn’t say anything in the tweet other than dots. No, they don’t update videos like instastory like people on instagram. But wanted to give a sign that they might actually return to Steam through coffee steam emerging from the cup.

This sign certainly invites a question as to whether Origin might not be as successful as they thought until they finally returned to Steam. Or do they really want to connect Origin to Steam like Ubisoft’s uPlay? Then, what games will they present? Is it an old game or a new game?
Over the past few months, EA has not had a market-breaking game. Battlefield V which they changed in such a way that the business model also could not give a very big influence like the third or fourth series. But it seems Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will immediately answer their concerns about the financial condition and popularity of the US company. If they do come back to Steam with a popular game or maybe promise a new game, maybe they will be able to make a big impact in the video game industry in late 2019 and early 2020.
We’ll find out what the tweet means once Electronic Arts is ready to announce it.
