Tim Cook: 5G Still Not Considered By Apple
After restoring relations with Qualcomm because of an argument, it seems that now Apple is not so worried. Now, there is hope that we might see a 5G-enabled iPhone next year. But until now, Apple has officially said nothing about it. Recently, Apple CEO Tim Cook was asked “what is Apple’s 5G strategy” and “when will Apple launch 5G products?” Tim Cook answered the first question.

He said that 5G is currently not being considered by Apple. He said that Apple will carefully evaluate the various new technologies and then launch the product as soon as possible, at the right time and conditions. Cook adds that new technologies emerge every day and it is difficult to predict the next new technology. In early March this year, Cook was also asked if he plans to release a 5G phone this year when he participates in the “2019 China Development Forum Annual Meeting” economic summit. At the time, Cook replied that he would not discuss product releases.
While Cook claims that Apple isn’t currently considering 5G, both statements seem positive. As of now, no new technology will completely overshadow 5G. Apple’s strong interest in 5G technology is evident in its settlement with Qualcomm. We believe that 5G is one of the “new technologies” that Apple has evaluated and in the next year, we will see several 5G products from the company.
