[RUMOR] Nvidia Reportedly Will Stop Production of the RTX 20 Series

This time there came a rumor that was quite surprising for PC Builders around the world, where Nvidia was rumored to be discontinuing their Nvidia RTX series, more specifically coming to the RTX 2080 Super, RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2070, and RTX 2070 Super series. This news comes from a website originating from China, namely, ItHome.com.

In the web they say Nvidia is currently reportedly short of their output, at first Nvidia will increase their prices at the beginning of the month. Not to mention the arrival of the second wave of “Mining trend” which is now increasing demand for mining, which results in less production capacity of TSMC. We knew earlier that more or less in 2018 and 2019 PC Builders were being faced with quite a severe problem, due to the high demand for mining which made GPU prices skyrocket. (Example: RX 580 which is usually sold in the marketplace at a price of approximately 2 to 4 million, has doubled to 6 to touch 10 million.)

Then another factor that caused Nvidia to discontinue the 20 Series, namely, because soon we will welcome the newest RTX Series again, namely the RTX 30 Series, but we think it’s reasonable for Nvidia to discontinue their “Upscale” RTX 20 Series, because if we look back at Gen. 10 “upper class”, they also experienced the same thing, their products began to be dismissed because they welcomed the new gen, namely the RTX 20 Series.

Even more surprising, Ithome gave an info that the Nvidia RTX 30 Series will be released on September 17th. But keep in mind this is still a rumor that is not necessarily true, and we ourselves have not received official information about whether Nvidia will confirm the release on September 17th.

With the arrival of a second wave of “Mining Trends” Rumors, maybe the world of computers and PC builders will enter an era where GPUs will become expensive. But for now we can hope that this doesn’t happen again, because some of us know that it’s not just the GPU that’s affected but the Ram’s too.
