“If they were legitimate NBA Championship contenders this year, I’m sure there would be a bit of a different conversation,” said Bartelstein. “It’s just that, you have to measure the risk and what is in dgot it.

It seemed Beal wasn’t confident in the Washington Wizards’ chances of making a meaningful run during this Orlando restart. The risk of injury or contracting COVID-19 seems to outweigh the possibility of making a postseason.
