It Takes Two, a cooperative adventure game directed by Hazelight Studios has just been released a few days ago. But before its launch, this game with two central characters has recorded a number of impressive achievements. A pre-release review for It Takes Two was released one day before its release and from that, it can be seen that It Takes Two is one of the best-rated 2021 releases.

In fact, It Takes Two received overwhelmingly positive reviews as noted by the two largest online meta-review sites MetaCritic and OpenCritic. On Metacritic, It Takes Two scores from 86 to 90% depending on the platform and on OpenCritic, Josef Fares’ game has a score of 88%. With that, It Takes Two became the game with the highest rating on each site.

It Takes Two even beat AAA games such as Hitman 3 and Nioh 2 Complete Edition which each scored 87% on Metacritic (for the PC version). The game published by EA also defeated Monster Hunter Rise which could only record a score of 87% on OpenCritic. The rating that It Takes Two gets may not be very high or near perfect, but it still deserves to be appreciated.

For foreigners, It Takes Two is an adventure game with platforming elements. The game is designed to be played in co-op and requires two people to play together both locally and online. The main premise of this game is the breakdown of the relationship between a husband and wife, which therefore ends up being a little doll made by his son.
