Amazon Creates Their Own Cloud Gaming Platform Named Luna

When the discussion about Next-Gen consoles, namely PS5 and Xbox Series x, which has 2 versions, namely Blu-ray Disk and digital, seems to be hot, we seem to forget that previously there was a game segment that might slowly be forgotten, namely Cloud Gaming.

We are now officially on the platform Tiktok! Follow our Tiktok account at @gamebrott.com to find various information and our other interesting video content.

Cloud Gaming offers very interesting features, where you only need to pay a monthly membership to be able to enjoy all the games available on the Cloud Gaming platform. Another advantage of Cloud Gaming is that you don’t need to have qualified hardware specifications to run existing games comfortably

But maybe if you say the drawback is on the internet side which requires us to have a stable and fast enough connection to be able to enjoy the game comfortably because back again, this is cloud gaming where we basically only “stream” what is displayed from the hardware that is displayed. provided the platform.

At first we were surprised by the presence of Google Stadia, Xbox xCloud, and NVIDIA GeForce Now as platforms that can be said to have big names in the gaming world. But this time there is the latest news regarding cloud gaming, namely Amazon which has joined the Cloud Gaming industry with its platform called “Luna”.

Exactly on September 24, 2020, Amazon announced the release of Luna as their Cloud Gaming platform, Amazon is using their AWS technology and will be fully integrated with Prime Gaming. Temporary registration is available for PC, Mac, Fire TV, iPhone, and iPad, the Android version is said to be in a future update.

LUNA CONTROLLER

Amazon itself does not have additional dedicated hardware to run Luna, because the company wants us to use all the devices we have. Like Google Stadia, Luna also has its own controller, if we look at the controller, of course we immediately know that the Luna controller is very inspired by the controller from Google Stadia, it’s just different color accents which are more black and there is purple on the purple Led in the middle of the controller .

The controller is also integrated with Alexa which will be used to switch to another screen using only voice commands. The controller will be priced at $50 during this phase early access.

Game Library Over 100 Titles

With a subscription fee of $5.99/month, you will get a large and interesting collection of games, Amazon says Luna has more than 100 games available for you to play. Some of the existing games can be played with 4K 60 fps graphics, of course big game titles such as Resident Evil 7, Control, Panzer Dragoon, A Plague Tale: Innocence, GRID and many more.

Because Amazon is partnering with Ubisoft, of course this will ensure game titles from Ubisoft will be added to the library faster. Maybe the lack of Luna in its initial phase only includes the United States as a country that can try it, hopefully in the future more countries can use cloud gaming services from Amazon, including Indonesia.
