Asus ROG Phone 3 Officially Released, Use Snapdragon 865 Plus and 144Hz Screen

Asus has just released their latest gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone 3 on Wednesday (22/7/2020) at an online event.

With the release of the Asus ROG Phone 3, it is now making gaming smartphones in the world more and more competitive with other vendors such as Lenovo Legion which was released on the same day.

Asus ROG Phone 3 is released in 2 variants, namely the standard version and Strix. The differences are network connectivity (ROG Phone 3 has a wider range) and different chipsets and memory. P

The ROG Phone 3 variant brings Snapdragon 865+ with 16/512 GB of memory in a higher configuration. While the Strix version, brings Snapdragon 865 along with 12 GB and 256 GB RAM.

In addition, the Asus ROG Phone 3 is also equipped with the AeroCool 3 cooling system which is claimed to increase six times compared to the previous generation. As well as embedded stereo speakers are upgraded so as to produce a more powerful and clear sound.

In terms of specifications, Asus also embeds a 144-Hz AMOLED screen with Full HD + resolution with a brightness of up to 1000 nits and a 270 Hz touch sensor. As a gaming phone, it seems that the company still doesn’t turn a blind eye to the camera sector. On the ROG Phone 3, Asus embeds the main sensor Sony IMX686.

This sensor from Sony has a resolution of 64-megapixels with the ability to record video in 8K format. It is equipped with a 13-megapixel wide with 125-degree capture angle and a 5-Megapixel macro camera. As well as a 24MP resolution lens provided for selfies.

With all the specifications above, Asus has embedded a battery with a capacity of 6,000 mAh which has 30W fast charging technology. As a gaming phone, of course the Asus ROG Phone 3 was also released with a type-C usb.

For the price, the Asus ROG Phone 3 variant starts selling at a price of 999 euros (Rp 16.9 million) for the 12 GB / 512 GB RAM variant. Then the 16 GB / 512 GB RAM variant is sold at a price of 1,099 euros (Rp 18.6 million).

For the ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition, Asus costs 799 euros (Rp 13.5 million) for the 8 GB/256 GB RAM variant.
