Although there are still quite a number of developers releasing similar games in 2019 such as The Fisherman – Fishing Planet and Ultimate Fishing Simulator VR on PC, fishing seems to be a niche video game genre that only certain people like.

How not, fishing is now more often a mini-game in certain games. For example in Stardew Valley, World of Warcraft, Black Desert, until Final Fantasy XV. However, it looks like he will continue to triumph thanks to the following “new” game from Bandai Namco.

Bandai Namco announced that fishing game Ace Angler (Tsuri Spirits or “Fishing Spirits” in Japanese) is finally on the Nintendo Switch. The Switch version will take advantage of the “Rod” joycon technology to have the same functionality as the arcade version. It will also adapt responsive HD vibration, so you will feel the vibration when the fish have eaten your fishing bait.

In addition to taking advantage of responsive HD and joycon, the Nintendo Switch version of Ace Angler will add a Competition Mode that can be played by up to four players. Team Ace Angler will also provide the classic mode namely Medal Mode and single player Adventure Mode mode which will invite you to look for big fish with Kappa.

There are 50 new species to be added in the game. Make Ace Angler game with a total of 220 types of fish that can be caught.

For those of you who don’t know, Ace Angler is an arcade game released by Bandai Namco in 2014. The game supports up to six players. Just like normal fishing games, you will be able to catch several types of fish to score and compete with others.

Bandai Namco plans to release Ace Angler on July 21, 2020 on Nintendo Switch. There is no clarity at all from the press release, whether they will release it to other platforms or only exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
