Beyond Light, Bungie Announces Two Other New Expansions for Destiny 2

Beyond Light isn’t the only one.

After announcing Beyond Light as a new expansion Destiny 2 This year, Bungie doesn’t seem to stop with just one expansion. Instead of announcing it every year, they just announced it today to give you an idea of what the expansion will look like. Unmitigated, they immediately announced two other expansions besides Beyond Light.

The expansion is The Witch Queen and Lightfall which will be released in 2021 and 2022 respectively. Bungie said that the game has become very big, therefore they don’t want to make a sequel Destiny 3 and choose to develop a common world to be developed for the better in the next two years.

The two expansions and Beyond Light represent a new era Destiny which began in 2014 namely the Era of Light where players were first revived and became Guardians in Destiny first. At the moment Destiny 2 currently living an era of loss where Guardians have lost their power to their mentors, and will soon move into the era of darkness that begins with Shadowkeep and further expansion, Beyond Light.

The Witch Queen and Lightfall will present a new location instead of having to rework from the place Destiny first. Mark Noseworthy, as General Manager Destiny 2 explained in his livestream that Beyond Light, The Witch Queen, and Lightfall is a trilogy of games. Unfortunately, he did not explain further and let fans enjoy it.

With the announcement of the other two expansions besides Beyond Light, Bungie indirectly confirmed that they will not work Destiny 3 and choose to expand the world that already exists today to be even bigger. At least for the next two years.
