Cuter, Cheaper, and Colorful, Switch Lite Becomes Nintendo's Latest Console

One of the video game companies that is famous for its global character, Mario, this time will make a new console again. After some time before Nintendo released a console with a Hybrid concept between Handheld and Home Console which they named Nintendo Switch, now they are also releasing a new console called Nintendo Switch Lite. As the name implies, the Nintendo Switch Lite is a “thrifty” version of its predecessor Nintendo Switch.

Contrasting Differences With Nintendo Switch predecessors

Nintendo’s newest console is briefly seen to have a similar shape to its predecessor the Nintendo Switch, but it turns out that there are still very contrasting differences between the Switch Lite and the regular Switch. Small size the main difference, where the Switch Lite touch screen is smaller at 14 cm while its predecessor Switch Original measures 15.7 cm. Although the sizes are quite different, the resolution offered is still the same 720p.

The absence of excellent features from the Nintendo Switch Original be another difference that is quite unfortunate. Where the Nintendo Switch Original is known as a home console as well as a portable console in one package, the Swtich Lite only comes in portable mode, aka Handheld mode only. No docking, no joy con grips, and no joy con that can be removed at will. This results in the original controller of the Switch Lite also being absent from HD Rumble or IR Motion Camera technology.

Very light weight also makes this console really feel very Handheld. Almost similar to a smartphone, where the Switch Lite only weighs around 270 grams. For comparison, a Pocophone smartphone weighs 180 grams. The price is much cheaper is also a very tempting consideration where the Switch Lite is priced at $199, $100 different from the Switch Original.

Can still play with friends together but…., maybe the concept of playing is a little different. Where the original Nintendo Switch is famous you can play anywhere because it has a booth to change to table-top mode, with the help of some joy con you can play more than 2 players. But with Switch Lite, you each need to have your own Nintendo Switch Lite and subscribe to the Nintendo Switch Online feature first or connect via Local Wireless.

Comes with 3 different color choices, but one solid color that is comprehensive makes Switch Lite quite different from the original version where the older brother who came out first had a black screen base color and colorful joy con.
