Cyberpunk 2077 Sets Record for Most Active Players on Steam

The hype that built up seven years ago over the announcement of CD Projekt RED’s second game finally ended today. Cyberpunk 2077 officially released and as is well known, the game made by the Polish developer received a very positive response. Including today’s player enthusiasm via Steam.

Since Cyberpunk 2077 was released, the game broke a new record that was even able to beat the giant game owned by Valve, which always dominates the number of active players. The game successfully penetrated the number of active players of 1 million with a total of 1,003,264.

This number is followed by several multiplayer games which are certainly familiar. Just say it Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Grand Theft Auto V, Team Fortress 2, until Destiny 2.

This record is the largest record in the history of single player games on Steam after several other games such as Terraria until Fallout 4 also had the highest number of players on Steam.

As a comparison, Fallout 4 is a single player game with the highest number of players 24 hours since its release, which is 472,962 people. While some other games like Life is Strange 2 got the peak on Steam as many as 468,717 people.

This is an improvement over one of their masterpieces, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt which can only reach the most active players with a total of 103,329 on Steam.

Of course, this number does not include other platforms such as CD Projekt’s own GOG, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It remembers Cyberpunk 2077 itself is a multiplatform game.
