PUBG Announces New Mobile Game PUBG: New State, Different from PUBGM

Following the worldwide success of PUBG games, PUBG Studio and Krafton announced a new battle royale experience in the form of PUBG: New State. It’s still the same as PUBG in general, but this time with a more futuristic setting. Plus, this game is not a standard game to be released on consoles and PCs, but exclusively for mobile platforms, namely Android and iOS.

Set in the year 2051, PUBG: New State takes place a few years after the current PUBG (which is supposed to be set in the modern era) in a new map called Troi. In that new “world”, PUBG: New State promises semi-futuristic weapons, drones and vehicles like those featured in games like Call of Duty Black Ops 4.

In addition, New State is also expected to dive deeper into the lore or background story of the PUBG universe itself. Not without something different, New State is said to be presenting a new formula in the weapon customization section. Later, players will be able to tinker with their weapons in a way similar to the one in Apex Legends.

New State itself will be the third PUBG game after the console/PC version of PUBG and PUBG Mobile. Although it will be released on platforms that are not as powerful as PC or consoles, PUBG Studio promises that New State will offer realistic visual quality beyond what PUBG Mobile has been providing.

PUBG: New State is confirmed to be launching this year for Android and iOS, with Android users being able to pre-register from now on.
