Cyberpunk 2077 Will Be Censored for Japanese Version
Cyberpunk 2077 will be a more “frontal” game than the previous CD Projekt Red game. The game will contain a very explicit sexual aspect, even the game allows players to customize their genitals. With content as extreme as this, Cyberpunk 2077 is rumored to be censored for the Japanese version.

Reporting from Press Start, the Japanese version of the Polish studio’s latest game will get a lot of changes. The following censorship will apply to the Japanese version of Cyberpunk 2077:
- Each character will be given panties, so they can’t be completely naked
- sexually explicit content will be revised
- Gore level will be readjusted
- Billboards or graffiti containing genitalia will be changed or completely removed
Meanwhile, the normally sensitive Australian version of this kind of explicit game gets no censorship at all. Games are only rated R18+ which is equivalent to an M rating (mature).
