Gemscool Officially Closes All Services End of March

Goodbye Gemscool.

The video game business in the world is indeed very advanced with a variety of online stores and the best services. Not only platforms such as Steam, GOG, PlayStation, Epic Games Store, Origin, and Microsoft Store, developers and publishers also often create their own launchers for each game on their respective stores or official websites.

We are now officially on the platform Tiktok! Follow our Tiktok account at @gamebrott.com to find various information and our other interesting video content.

Indonesia itself was once victorious with the presence of imported games from South Korea which were handled by well-known publishers. Call it LYTO, Megaxus, to Gemscool. The games they import are mostly loved by internet cafe lovers, which is also the golden age of the internet cafe business in Indonesia.

Unfortunately for several reasons, one by one the publishers fell out because they were unable to compete. Especially with the presence of super strong foreign companies that have started to open their businesses here. Not including the strong dominance of the mobile gaming market, which is now shaded by foreign publishers and Google.

Those who survive are only those who are able to keep up with the changes. Call it Garena, LYTO, Megaxus, and Gemscool. But this time one of them had to fall at the end of this month.

Gemscool Close

Through the main page of their official website, Gemscool announced that they officially closed all of their services at the end of March 2021, to be exact on March 31, 2021. Unfortunately there is no clarity as to the reason for their closure. Gemscool itself did not include details of the closing news because the “More” button displayed only goes to their main page.

Gemscool is a publisher from Indonesia who had skyrocketed in name thanks to the shooter game they imported, Point Blank. Since then they’ve been trying to get a variety of games like Tree of Savior, Atlantica, Mako Online, until those who had time to re-popularize their names Lost Saga.

Unfortunately, their service didn’t last long since new gamers started leaving local publishers and enjoying their games more via Steam, PlayStation, to mobile. Now they are officially closing all of their services at the end of March 2021.

Goodbye Gemscool.
