Just 5 Days Officially Working on Fnatic, Does InYourDream Have to Resign?
5 Days ago, all Indonesian DOTA 2 fans in the country were delighted by the official entry of InYourDream into one of the strongest teams on the Asian continent, Fnatic. Many predict that this will be a turning point for InYourDream’s career as well as other Indonesian Professional DOTA 2 players, because many teams have started to look at the talents of Indonesian players. Unfortunately, however, bad news came from the Fnatic team a few days after the 2017 ESL One Genting tournament ended. 2 players left the team, namely YamateH and InYourDream.

Disappointment arose from many Fnatic fans, as if they had fallen down a ladder. After having to accept their defeat at the ESL One Genting 2017 event, they will also be faced with more difficulties at future Valve events, because it means that Fnatic no longer has time to give their team to Valve, which means that in the next few tournaments they will have to go through an open qualifying round that could be followed by any team that has not been registered and invited by Valve.
On the other hand, disappointment also emerged from Indonesian DOTA2 fans. They could no longer see one of the Indonesian players competing in the international arena again for a while. Moreover, it hasn’t even been a week since InYourDream has officially started playing for Fnatic, it certainly makes many parties less able to accept InYourDream’s departure which is actually due to family and educational reasons. The following is a direct quote from the Fnatic website regarding the future condition of the Fnatic team:
The poor results that Fnatic received were also accused of being caused by the lack of time to play together between the new Fnatic squad and perhaps also the communication problems that we can see as in the Truesight series where the Fnatic team has quite a big problem in communication. But if you look a little deeper, actually Fnatic is only in a bracket which is very difficult. Where in the first match, they had to face the Russian giant, Virtus Pro. Even down to the Lower Bracket, they had to go back to face one of the rising teams, namely Team NP, which consisted of players with very high flying hours. So yesterday’s bad results are quite reasonable and not a problem of poor player ability, because they are the best professional players that have been chosen by Fnatic.
For more details, the InYourDream game is actually quite good. As in the first match, InYourDream did have difficulties against NoOne at Middle Lane, but it was purely because the Virtus Pro team did pick Outworld Devourer in the last pick phase after Fnatic picked Templar Assassin for InYourDream. But InYourDream can be said to have managed to slightly offset NoOne by not giving any kills in the first 10 minutes because NoOne is a player who likes to look for kills in the early minutes of the game. Unfortunately, Fnatic who were not ready to team fight in the early minutes were forced by Virtus Pro, making it difficult for Fnatic to develop their game and had to accept their defeat in the 27th minute.
The main problem faced by Fnatic is arguably the draft section which is still not solid in DOTA 2 Patch 7.01, because it can be seen from their match against Team NP, they seem to be unable to read the strategic direction of Team NP so it is difficult to put up a meaningful fight. Whereas a draft is arguably very important for a team to be able to win a game when they have the same quality of play.
Hopefully the decision that has been taken by InYourDream is the best decision for all parties and hopefully in the future there will be more Indonesian players who can reach the international level again in the near future. Considering the quality of Indonesian players who are quite competitive with players from other Southeast Asian zones.
