Koei Tecmo Promises There Will Be No Censorship in Atelier Ryza 2

Selling well, it turned out that the developer immediately worked on the sequel, entitled Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy. Several teasers have appeared in the last few months, but a new trailer that was shown at the 2020 Tokyo Game Show about two weeks ago actually caused concern for Atelier fans outside Japan.

This concern refers to the latest trailer for the English version of the game, in which there are sensors in the form of certain character body parts which are covered by a gray ‘magic cloud’. You can check out the trailer below.

The ‘magic cloud’ is certainly not present in the trailer for the Japanese version of Atelier Ryza, so fans will certainly be annoyed if the English version will get censored when it releases. In response to this, Koei Tecmo as the publisher tries to ensure that the English version of the game will not be censored upon release, despite the differences in the two trailers.

Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy planned to be released on December 3, 2020 for platforms PC, PS4 and Switch. It is not yet clear whether this game will be available on the next-gen console which is planned to be available later this year.
