Monster Hunter Rise is Officially Coming to PC Next Year
One of the most anticipated Nintendo Switch games of the year – Monster Hunter Rise is coming to another platform next year. Not a console, Capcom confirmed that the latest entry in the monster hunting game series will be released for PC in early 2022. This is very good news considering that initially, Monster Hunter Rise was known to only be available for Switch.

To IGN, the producer – Ryozo Tsujimoto said that he and his team received a lot of requests for the PC version of Monster Hunter Rise. Finally he decided to develop a PC version of it with the hope of launching in early next year. Furthermore, Tsujimoto also added that he will share more information and details at the appropriate time.
This isn’t the first time Monster Hunter Rise has been heard coming to PC. Last year, Capcom fell victim to a ransomware attack in which hackers exposed information about a number of projects Capcom was working on. One of those projects is the process of porting Monster Hunter Rise to PC.
Monster Hunter Rise itself will still have a vast world full of monsters to explore just like Monster Hunter World. However, the hack-n-slash gameplay mechanism that is carried will have a faster combat pace than the fifth game in the main Monster Hunter series. In addition, instead of a cat, Monster Hunter Rise will give players an animal companion in the form of a dog to accompany them along the way.
Monster Hunter Rise is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch on March 26 and on PC in the first or second quarter of 2022. It is not yet known whether the game built using the RE Engine will be released on other current-gen consoles other than the Switch or next-gen consoles.
