Netflix Finally Shows the First Trailer for the New Resident Evil Series
After previously being leaked (or accidentally posted prematurely) by Netflix Portugal regarding the existence of the latest CG film Resident Evil entitled Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. Finally Capcom officially announced it at the virtual Tokyo Game Show last night.

And what is quite surprising is that RE: Infinite Darkness is not a single film, but a series like The Witcher. Along with the announcement of this series, Netflix also released its first trailer, which you can watch below:
In the trailer, of course, you will still meet familiar faces from previous series such as Leon and Claire. Which may now feel a little strange because their faces are slightly different from yesterday’s remake game. But more or less the designs used in this latest series are the faces of the original characters before the remake.
Unfortunately, it’s hard to guess where this film will be in the Resident Evil Universe timeline. Considering the appearance of the characters from Leon and Claire, it is also less able to define it. But saw that Leon appeared in the trailer wearing a suit. It looks like the film will be set shortly after “something bad” happened during the celebrations.
This is not the first time Capcom has produced CGI films for Resident Evil, because previously Resident Evil has also had 3 CGI films in addition to the big screen film starring Mila Jovovich. And for Netflix itself, this film series is one of their 2 collaborations with Capcom for Resident Evil because they still have a live action film adaptation that will revolve around the Wesker Family.
The Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness film series itself will be released in 2021, although it does not yet have a definite release date nor will it contain how many episodes of this series will be.
