Newly Released, Yuzu Emulator Claims to Have Successfully Run Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

Yuzu, one of the Nintendo Switch emulators being developed, again shows their rapid progress. Xenoblade Chronichles: Definitive Edition which has just been released has been successfully run according to the developer.

We are now officially on the platform Tiktok! Follow our Tiktok account at @gamebrott.com to find various information and our other interesting video content.

The emulation is still far from perfect with the emulation speed only running at 50% in most conditions, especially during open-world sessions, but according to the developer this problem can be resolved later through the next update.

Yuzu has made great progress in the last few months. Previously, the game had also succeeded in making Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Pokemon Sword/Shield run and playable with their program. Yuzu also recently added a multicore feature that can drastically increase emulation performance for PCs with multiple-core CPUs.

Of course we still recommend playing on the original hardware, especially with the Switch having a portable feature that makes the console flexible to play at any time. This emulator is a long term project that will be useful once the console and software have stopped being produced.
