Dead Space is a game by Visceral Games and EA which was first released in 2008 ago. This Horror/Sci-Fi genre series is known for its setting that takes inspiration from the movie Alien (1979). This game also received a good reception from players until EA decided to release 2 further sequels until they were made spin-off and animated films. Unfortunately, hope for a continuation of the current Dead Space series may have been lost because the Visceral Games studio has now been closed by EA. But instead, fans can look forward to the latest game from the former developer of the Dead Space series, The Callisto Protocol.

The Callisto Protocol has just been announced at The Game Awards held some time ago. At the event, displayed cinematic trailer with a duration of about 2 minutes which shows the theme of horror combined with science fiction like the Dead Space series. According to the developer, the game will be “set in Callisto, one of the moons of the planet Jupiter that challenges players to try to break free from the Black Iron Prison prison while uncovering terrifying secrets.”

This game is the first product of Strike Distance Studios which was formed by executive producer Dead Space is Glen Schofield. In addition to Strike Distance Studio, the development of this game was also assisted by Krafton, known as publisher from PUBG.

Schofield stated that The Callisto Protocol was the pinnacle of AAA game development in decades. Schofield also promises to provide a genre gaming experience survival-horror the scariest thing ever.

The Callisto Protocol is planned for release in 2022 for PC and console platforms. There is currently no information on which console to go to, but most likely the game will be released for the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
