In a meeting with the 80th shareholders (via Kotaku), Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa apologized for the inconvenience caused to buyers. joycon drift. He promised his company would address the issue soon, but could not give specific answers on how and when it would be implemented.

“We will continue to focus on improving our product, but with Joy-con being the subject of a lawsuit in the United States and still an unresolved issue, we would like to refrain from responding to any specific actions,” Furukawa explained.

The lawsuit in question is a lawsuit filed in July last year at the law office of Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith.

Joycon drift it’s still a problem for the early production Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch version 2.0 (the first revision with more battery efficient). Drifting often occurs after serious use for a long time. Cleaning dust in analogue to vacuum air is reported to fix the problem, however drifting it still happens a few moments later, making this unique controller seem impervious and forcing you to completely disassemble the Joycon or buy a new one.
