Nintendo Switch Will Get a “Pro” Version?

Has it started?

When PlayStation 4 and Xbox One announced their new variants, namely Pro and X/S, Nintendo, which had just released the Switch series, did not want to make a rash decision. But when they were ready, they didn’t announce a more powerful version of their hybrid console.

Instead of adding to its ability to play video games with a better resolution, Nintendo has released a console with a longer battery life and a mini version. Interestingly, they are likely to release a more powerful variant in the near future. At least, that’s what one online retailer suddenly leaked.

Switch ProA major European retailer MediaMarkt has just updated their website. They added the Switch Pro category to their Polish branch of the website. Of course, there are no consoles that can be purchased other than being the website heading category.

It is not yet clear whether the Switch Pro will be released, but several rumors of its presence have surfaced on the internet. One of them is a report from Taiwan where they will launch the console in 2021. Meanwhile, Bloomberg reports that Nintendo has told several third-party developers to make all their games ready to play in 4K resolution.

Nintendo itself is still silent about the rumors that surfaced, but it should be noted that the term “Switch Pro” is a term coined by the media and fans. Nintendo never uses the word “Pro” in its latest hardware models. They use the word “New” or “SP”.

Although the MediaMarkt leak could be true like many leaks that occur at retailers such as Walmart, but we advise you not to swallow this information raw and treat it as a mere rumor.
