Qualcomm Snapdragon Releases 730, 730G and 665 Chipsets, Mid-End for Gaming!
Qualcomm has announced one of its newest chipsets, namely Snapdragon 730, a new system-on-chip that is likely to power the phone to become a Mid-end Android option by the end of this year. Its predecessor is 710, ended successfully planted on several Android gadgets such as Samsung Galaxy A8s and Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, and while Qualcomm recently launched a new product under the name Snapdragon 712, it looks new Snapdragon 730 can be considered to provide a much more promising update.

Snapdragon 730 and 730G
8-core Snapdragon 730 uses Kryo 470 cores up to 2.2GHz and is built on an 8nm process. It has an Adreno 618 GPU, Hexagon 688 processor with tensor accelerator, Spectra 350 “computer vision” image signal processor, X15 LTE modem, and support for Wi-Fi 6.
Qualcomm also confirmed that there will be a different series for the 730 devoted to a gaming-focused version later called the 730G, with the promise of a higher GPU clock for 15 percent faster performance. The 730G will support phones with 1440p displays, up from 1080p where the regular 730 doesn’t support that resolution, and offer 960fps slow-motion videos. Qualcomm also says that it enables a “Jank Reducer” feature that is capable of “reducing jank by up to 90 percent” in 30fps games.
Snapdragon 665
Qualcomm also added more information announced Snapdragon 665 today, The successor to the 2017 snapdragon 660 seems to be still in the market as it’s still being developed – although the recent launch of the 675 in phones like the Vivo V15 Pro makes the differentiation of the newer chip a little less clear. Like the 675, the 665 is an 8-core chip built on an 11nm process, but uses a slower Kryo 260 core and an Adreno 610 GPU. It also allows support for triple cameras and a 48-megapixel sensor.
Qualcomm plans to release the Snapdragon 665, 730, and 730G on sale in mid-2019.
