Qualcomm Will Launch Its Gaming Phone Brand

Currently, most smartphone brands use Qualcomm processors for their line of flagship smartphones. Then, with the share of gaming smartphones, Qualcomm chipsets are a mainstay in the industry.

On December 1, they announced an annual event, namely the Qualcomm technology summit. At the event, they are said to be announcing their latest chipset, the Snapdragon 875.

This chipset is the latest high-end chipset from Qualcomm. On that occasion, it seems that they are planning to enter the smartphone product field. According to DigiTimes, Qualcomm will work closely with Asustek to launch the first smartphone under their own brand.

In the report, Qualcomm will launch their gaming phone before the end of 2020. The phone will be equipped with a Snapdragon 875 processor (not yet released).

It’s no surprise that the company’s preferred partner is Asus. Given Qualcomm’s interest in gaming phones, Asus is one of the best in the industry. Asus currently has one of the strongest gaming smartphones in its ROG series.

If this latest report is true, then Qualcomm could choose to launch the Snapdragon 875 processor in its own product. But at this time there is no additional information about the phone as well as the latest chipset from Qualcomm.
