Via Twitter, one of the famous Resident Evil leakers – Dusk Golem, shared some additional info that Capcom didn’t reveal in the RE Showcase. One of them is the information that Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will have a next-gen version for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. In addition, he also mentioned that a VR version for RE: Village is being developed.
I know VR was in at some point, I don’t know the current status. To do VR they need a consistent performance for motion sickness, I guess to see. There is other things that are 100% happening they for some reason didn’t mention here though, like the RE7 Next-Gen patch though. https://t.co/1zNHti0k0x

Even so, it is unknown whether the virtual reality mode will immediately be able to be played when RE Village is launched on 7 May. That information is still a rumor at the moment, but Dusk Golem was previously known for accurate details regarding RE: Village before Capcom itself announced it. So, don’t be surprised if this info is trusted by many gamers and has a high probability of actually being realized.
To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Resident Evil series, Capcom announced quite a lot of new things at the RE Showcase. Besides RE: Village, one of the most interesting of course is Resident Evil Re:Verse. The game offers a free multiplayer experience that pits players against each other as the iconic protagonists and antagonists of the Resident Evil series.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is currently available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
