SEGA Promises New Genesis: Phantasy Star Online 2 Gameplay at Tokyo Game Show

They will be showing off the new gameplay of New Genesis: Phantasy Star Online 2.

Restoring games that were released a few years ago is certainly one of the most difficult tasks for developers. This is because they have to update not only in terms of visuals, but replace the rigid mechanics and gameplay. A thing that SEGA also does in New Genesis: Phantasy Star Online 2.

Instead of being a sequel to the series, SEGA mentioned that New Genesis: Phantasy Star Online 2 will be integrated with the original game. Interestingly, it will come with new mechanics and visual appearance.

Unfortunately since the game was announced, they didn’t present some of the latest gameplay from New Genesis: Phantasy Star Online 2. The good news is that soon SEGA will grant this wish.

Through its Twitter account, SEGA confirmed that New Genesis: Phantasy Star Online 2 will be part of the Tokyo Game Show 2020 later this month. In other words, they will announce a handful of new information and gameplay of the game. They added that the game will be showcased on September 25, 2020 at 19:00 WIB.

New Genesis: Phantasy Star Online 2 planned to be released in 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows 10. The Japanese version itself will be available via the cloud for PlayStation 4, PC, and Switch.
