Until now, the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) has prepared a satellite named Satria, the Ministry of Communication and Information in this case is represented by Bakti whose procurement is carried out through an auction system. In this auction, the procurement of this satellite was won by the PSN Consortium.
Even today, Bakti, who is represented by Anang Latief who serves as President Director, said that currently his party has discussed the plan to add this satellite with the new Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo), Johnny G Plate.
“Already (discussed with Johnny G Plate), the only problem is that we have to talk about the problem, yes about the financing because it must be approved by the Ministry of Finance,” said Anang.
With the addition of these two satellites, Indonesia will later have 3 operating satellites. One of those already in operation and two as new additions. According to Bakti, Indonesia must add satellites, because with the vast territory and large population of Indonesia, one satellite is not enough.
