That’s a fantastic number for a game that just entered Steam Early Access in early February. Previously, the game with the Viking theme sold over one million copies in the first week since its launch. Then at the end of the second week, Valheim sold two million copies and four days later, Iron Gate announced that another million copies of the Valheim game had been sold again.

Now, a total of four million copies of the Valheim game have been sold on Steam in less than a month. Iron Gate said that the number of joint players that matched last week’s Dota 2 record and 96% positive reviews from 86 thousand reviews, are several factors why Valheim can sell well so quickly.

The plethora of positive reviews helped Valheim to climb the rankings in the 250 best reviewed games on Steam by sitting pretty well at number 57. Just like any other sudden success of new games, Iron Gate is also very grateful to fans for the support they have given so far.

Valheim is currently only available for PC via Steam Early Access.
