Anthem Director Jonathan Warner Leaves BioWare
After working with BioWare for 10 years, Anthem Director Jonathan Warner chose to leave the studio. Warner’s decision to leave BioWare itself is quite reasonable.
This could not be separated from the cancellation of Anthem Next by BioWare which forced him to leave the studio.

Through his Twitter account, Warner announced that he had officially left BioWare.
So, today is my last day at BioWare. I chose to leave to try new things. BioWare has been home to my heart for 10 years and I wish them all the best. Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and Star Wars: The Old Republic are very interesting games. #ThankYou #BioWare.

Warner itself chose to leave BioWare after the studio officially announced the termination of Anthem Next. Furthermore, this is not the first time that BioWare has been abandoned by important people. Casey Hudson (General Manager) and Mark Darrah (Executive Producer) of Dragon Age 4 also left BioWare some time ago.
Even though Mark left, EA CEO Andrew Wilson said that Dragon Age 4 and Mass Effect Legendary Edition could be a success.
BioWare Stops Anthem Development
In an announcement they wrote some time ago, Producer Executive Christian Dailey said that they were forced to stop developing this game due to the Covid-19 pandemic. During these times, the team could not work optimally and improve Anthem.
2020 is a year like no other. We also have to make progress for all the projects that are in BioWare. Working from home during the pandemic has an impact on our productivity and that of our entire team. So, we took this decision with careful consideration.

Although the development of Anthem was discontinued, the live service of the game will continue in the future. EA and BioWare’s decision certainly makes sense considering that Anthem got a bad response after so many bugs and problems.
After canceling Anthem development, BioWare will focus on Dragon Age as well as Mass Effect
