Not Giving Up, Microsoft Creates Xbox Asia Division to Enter Japanese and Asian Markets

Microsoft is still trying to penetrate the Asian market.

As we know, Microsoft’s Xbox is very popular in many western countries, but not in Japan or Asia. The struggle which is quite extraordinary has not succeeded in defeating the dominance of PlayStation from the Asian market until now. But Microsoft still seems to have not given up on penetrating it.

We are now officially on the platform Tiktok! Follow our Tiktok account at @gamebrott.com to find various information and our other interesting video content.

This is evidenced by the job vacancies they just created (via wccftech). Microsoft is currently looking for a Senior Director, Global Gaming Partnerships and Development for the Asia branch. According to his description, they aim to find leaders who can overcome the many opportunities that exist in the Asian market, especially Japan, China, and South Korea.

This position will work with other teams to develop and manage partnerships to support Microsoft gaming products such as Xbox One, Mixer, Game Pass, and Gaming Cloud.

Although Phil Spencer has visited Japan many times and threw up his ammunition in Asia for the sake of selling Xbox products, it seems that his struggles have not yielded any meaningful results. With the presence of a Senior Director for the Asia branch, it seems that Microsoft will again touch this promising market.
