Samsung Releases Odyssey G9 in Indonesia, the Latest Curved Screen Gaming Monitor from Samsung
Samsung, the technology manufacturer from South Korea, recently officially announced that they will release their newest gaming monitor in Indonesia. This gaming monitor is the Odyssey G9, which is Samsung’s current tallest curved-screen monitor from Samsung.

Samsung claims, if the monitor is designed specifically for playing games, it will be the first monitor in the world to have a curvature of up to 1000R.
Reporting from Kompas, Monday (27/72020), Samsung designed this monitor for fans of technological advancements, casual gamers who want the best performance, to professional e-sports athletes. The Samsung Odyssey G9 has a screen size of 49 inches with a 32:9 ratio, Dual QuadHD resolution of 5120 x 1440 pixels, with a refresh rate of 240 Hz.
In addition, the curved 1000R screen is claimed to be able to create an immersive gaming experience. Not only the futuristic shape, this monitor has a response time of 1 ms (GTG). This means that the monitor can respond to a graphic input signal in 0.001 seconds. The Odyssey G9 also supports Nvidia G-Sync technology.
For the screen panel, Samsung uses Samsung QLED technology which is famous for its sharp color. As well as having support for HDR1000 technology, by using these two technologies, the Odyssey G9 is claimed to be able to produce colors that are more pure, bright and real.
On the back, Samsung also embeds the Infinity Core Lightning feature, which is an LED light capable of emitting 50 different colors. That way, it will make the gaming setup more enjoyable.
Later, Samsung will start selling this gaming monitor in August 2020. Where they will sell it together with the Odyssey G7 gaming monitor, a cheaper variant of the G9.
For the price itself, Samsung will price it at IDR 25 million for the 43-inch Odyssey G9 and IDR 13.5 million for the 32-inch Odyssey G7 and IDR 12 million for the 27-inch Odyssey G7.
Samsung will start pre-orders on August 1-14 through the official Samsung website and several e-commerce sites in Indonesia.
