Reporting from Dotesports, previously a betting exchange agency in Australia reported suspicious behavior at the CS:GO tournament in Australia last March. Victoria Police said there were 5 CS:GO matches in the tournament which were arranged and matched into 20 betting exchanges for them to win the bet.

The six perpetrators involved in the match-fixing scandal have all been arrested by the Victorian police. The perpetrators who were arrested by the police were on average 19 to 22 years. A warrant has been issued to the city of Perth, but no one has been sent to prison in the case. Police are working together to fully investigate Australia’s biggest match-fixing case.

Neil Peterson, Victoria Police Assistant Commissioner said that esports is a very promising sport. So that makes many people want betting exchange agents to also bring esports into their gambling. Even so, the match-fixing scandal is the first time in the city of Victoria, Australia.
