Amazon Opens New Studio With Former Ubisoft Developer
Amazon returns to focus on video games.
Not the first time for Amazon to dive into the world of video games. Their streaming platform Twitch is a testament to how well they are in this industry.
We are now officially on the platform Tiktok! Follow our Tiktok account at @gamebrott.com to find various information and our other interesting video content.
Different from streaming, they also have a game development team which unfortunately didn’t work out in their first game, Crucible released because it does not have a uniqueness that can make fans feel at home. While their second game, New World still planned for release this year.
Now, Amazon seems to be trying to develop new games to expand their portfolio.
Amazon Games announce that they were opening a new studio in Montreal. It was formed with former Ubisoft developers who have been good at working on Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. Some of them are Head of Production Luc Bouchard, Creative Director Xavier Marquis, Head of Product Alexandre Remy, and Content Director Romain Rimokh.
It is not yet clear what game they will design, but what is certain is that this new Amazon Montreal studio will focus on developing multiplayer games.
