Kojima Production Denies Rumors of Kojima's Dismissal from Konami

PT is certainly one of the games or can be called the most memorable game demo from Playstation 4, Kojima, and also Konami. How not, this game demo itself is the forerunner of what should later become the latest Silent Hill game made by Konami under the direction of Hideo Kojima. But, of course, we already know how this story ends.

We are now officially on the platform Tiktok! Follow our Tiktok account at @gamebrott.com to find various information and our other interesting video content.

But it seems even though Kojima and Konami have now separated and have chosen their own paths. It seems PT still leaves some problems in the past that are still unresolved. This matter itself was finally brought up by one of the French media – Gameblog.fr which on June 19 issued a slightly controversial news regarding this matter.

How not, in the news it was told that PT was actually a secret project carried out by Hideo Kojima and his small team with Sony without Konami’s permission. And what’s worse, the project sucked funds from the development budget of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This is what they said made Konami finally fired Hideo Kojima.

However, the story above was finally denied directly by Kojima Production through a tweet on its official Twitter account which stated that the article published was wrong. Furthermore, the Kojima Production account itself questioned the unclear source of the article, and invited if there was a credible source, they would only want to explain it.

Gameblog itself turns out to be a media that is famous for spreading rumors. And if you read the articles yourself you can even tell that they usually only list “a few appropriate sources” without including the source. So it is very likely that the news is just a mere fit of logic or even just made up.
