Astral Chain Combines NieR+Bayonetta Elements in Its First Gameplay
The NieR+Bayonetta element is deeply embedded in Astral Chain’s gameplay.
Nintendo’s E3 2019 event was enlivened by lots of new games, one of which was Astral Chain. An action RPG game that tells the story of members of the police special forces named Neuron to eradicate alien creatures that invaded the city of The Ark. The game made by Platinum Games seems to adapt a lot of gameplay elements NieR: Automata and Bayonetta. Especially after you see the first gameplay.

In the first gameplay that you can watch above, some of the actions and battles that are quite fluid will certainly not be foreign to you because in general the battle elements are designed quite similar to the previous Platinum Games games, NieR: Automata and Bayonetta. However, that does not mean they do not provide interesting innovations for Nintendo.
Even though you are a member of the police special forces, you still carry out your duties as a police officer. Eradicate the alien creatures called Chimeras and prevent them from kidnapping the townspeople is not your only job. You will continue to carry out your duties as a police officer, namely conducting investigations like a detective and carrying out orders from your superiors.
Main concept Astral Chain which is “controlling two characters at the same time” with Legion being the “second character” as well as the main weapon, allowing you to launch dual combos during battle. Different from own Stand Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure that will not change, new weapons and Legions you will be able to get as the story progresses. Attacking your enemy from behind will give critical damage with a yellow indicator. The main characters are twin brothers, where the one you don’t choose will still appear as your best partner in the middle of the story.
Astral Chain will be released on August 30, 2019 exclusively for Nintendo Switch. You can follow the news so you don’t miss updates.
