Bend Studio Designers Thank Players Who Claimed Days Gone on PS Plus
John Garvin’s statement as the author of Days Gone regarding his game which was free on PS Plus in fact received a bad response from his fans. According to him, one of the reasons Days Gone 2 was canceled was because many players didn’t buy Days Gone 1 for free full price, until he feels uncomfortable with players who buy the game at a discount or get it through PS Plus monthly prizes.

Contrary to Garvin’s opinion, lead designer Days Gone, Eric Jensen, actually thanked the fans who had played the game. He also doesn’t care if the game is purchased online full price, earned at a discount, through PS Plus freebies, borrowing with friends, or maybe watching other people play . He conveyed his appreciation through Twitter account.
Whether you picked up #DaysGone on day one, borrowed it from a friend, watched someone else play it, or tried it with PS Now or PS+, I appreciate you. Thank you for playing our game. The outpouring of love and support for our game and our studio has been incredible. ??

The message is indeed very contrary to Garvin’s statement because he considers that the reason for the cancellation of Days Gone 2 is due to lack of support from the players. He also compares the game to God of War which he thinks gets more attention than Days Gone.
Responding to this, Eric Jensen also considers that support for the game does not depend on how the player buys it. Himself stated that just by watching gameplay it on Youtube is enough to give appreciation and support to the developers of Bend Studio.
Despite all the problems, Days Gone still achieved financial success. This success also achieved popularity until a PC version of the game was made which will soon be released on 18 May.
