Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Installation Situation on PS4 Console Is A Little 'Strange'

Those of you who follow the development of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game may already know that this game does require a fairly large storage capacity, it is even known that it will require up to more than 175 GB including all content that has or has not been present in the game.

We are now officially on the platform Tiktok! Follow our Tiktok account at @gamebrott.com to find various information and our other interesting video content.

The Gamebrott team itself is working on a review for this game on the PC platform, and we also got it in a digital version, where we also had to download around 100 GB before being able to play it. You can expect it in the next few days.

well, because our office has a fairly fast internet speed, it may sound okay, but what about those of you who are used to living with wifi slow or even with a quota?

If you feel that way, you might decide to buy a physical or Blu-ray Disc (BD) game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for the PS4 console. The author himself also bought the BD personally to play it at home. I’m quite happy because I think that I’ll just have to play after installing it on the PS4, that hope just disappears when we get to the main menu.

As you can see in the screenshot above, the singleplayer (SP) or Campaign mode is still locked, as are Local Co-op and the Store. What is open is only the Multiplayer (MP) mode, where you can immediately jump into battle with other players.

Please note, the author himself plays Call of Duty games because he is eyeing the SP content. If you’ve downloaded Call of Duty games before, especially on PS4, they usually give you the option to download SP content or MP content first, and writers always choose SP content. It’s quite strange and disappointing, isn’t it when we buy a BD, but what is served first is the MP content?

Those of you who are after the MP content, maybe this seems normal, but the author is quite sure that many of you are also eyeing the SP content when talking about the Call of Duty game.

It doesn’t stop there, after installing about 37 GB from BD, this game also immediately provides an update of 58 GB. As shown in the previous image, this update is required for a full installation and only after that we can play the SP content. Until this article was written, the author himself had not finished downloading it and decided to play Nioh.

It should also be noted that the author doesn’t know how to buy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare digitally on PS4. However, it seems that the author can assume that it is not much different from a PC that immediately downloads everything, or maybe the same as the BD version, can play the MP content first.

This may remind you of Rockstar with the game Red Dead Redemption 2, where even though the game requires almost 100 GB of storage space, Rockstar decided to bring it to 2 discs at once, so players don’t need to download more when updating. This shows that Rockstar cares about the overall gaming experience of its gamers.

Finally, at the end of the story, the steps taken by Activision really made the writer quite disappointed. However, the author hopes that the SP content presented can hopefully be a cure for the author’s disappointment later.
