Presenting the first trailer, Bandai Namco immediately continues with the first gameplay Digimon Survive which looks quite different from the previous series.

As you can see for yourself above, the gameplay looks like a mix of visual novels with a bit of exploration and drama. While the battle is more like a tactical battle like Final Fantasy Tactics.

In the drama mode, you will be given the option to explore and survive. As we explained earlier, the battles will be sequential. You will be able to do evolution during battle by using energy. Unfortunately, for now Producers Kazumasa Habu and Katsuaki Tsuzuki can’t explain how.

Digimon Survive will be released in 2019 for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Japan. There is no further information about the English version as of this writing.
