Diablo 2: Resurrected Playable with Save Files from Old Diablo 2!

Faced with this problem, the remaster of Diablo 2, Diablo 2: Resurrected brings an unexpected feature: you’ll be able to use your decades-old save files!

Diablo 2: Resurrected game producer Matthew Cederquist confirmed this feature in an interview with IGN Middle East. Initially, the development team did not create the feature on purpose. Incidentally, when the team tried to load their old save file from Diablo 2, it turned out that Resurrected had successfully loaded the file.

“While we were working on [Resurrected], we start to think whether the old file can be reused or not, so we try to enter it, and suddenly it can!” Cederquist said. “Then we said, OK, this is the best feature ever.”

Diablo 2: Resurrected is due out this year for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
