Naughty Dog Working on Fantasy Themed Game?
Are they trying to get out of their comfort zone?
“Sony’s Golden Boy”, that’s roughly the proper name for Naughty Dog. Original developer Crash Bandicoot it never fails to mix video games with super high quality. The Last of Us Part 2 which was just released last year even received various praises regardless of the theme that had been dramatized by western gamers.

Their success is certainly a source of pride but also a new challenge to present a new game that is different from the usual. Many fans are starting to wonder what Naughty Dog will do for their next game. They have two choices: create a new title or continue an existing series.

This of course was triggered by a tweet by Neil Druckmann via Twitter that Naughty Dog was making something cool and not continuing what they were doing. However, it seems that this is different from the studio’s senior concept artist who might tease the existence of their new game.
Hyoung Nam, Naughty Dog’s Senior Concept Artist recently uploaded some of his latest works on his personal Artstation. She shows off a female character with a bloodied sword sitting on the head of a giant dragon that she may have slain.
Nam also uploaded another female character with green eyes and clothes like a shaman from a tribe.
But that’s not what makes it a “signal” of the existence of a new game Naughty Dog. But the description that Nam wrote in the picture he made. Nam wrote that he was inspired by the new game and teased him with, “You know what I mean”. The three pictures he gave the title as “The Women of North” or “Women of the North Region”.
Nam seems to want to tell his fans and Artstation followers that Naughty Dog is working on a fantasy-themed game. A theme that is very much different from the games they have worked on before. At least in the PlayStation 3 and 4 generations.
Of course Nam’s picture does not explain clearly because it is possible that Naughty Dog will change it in the future. But of course it would be very interesting if they worked on a fantasy-themed video game. Let’s just wait!
