Behind his success, of course there is a trusted person who accompanies him, he is Yoji Shinkawa, his comrade in arms since they were at Konami. The relationship between these two talented men can be likened to “Batman and Robin”, where both of them always combine ideas to create something extraordinary. Through his interview with Famitsu, after Death Stranding both of them were interested in starting a new project immediately, the first thing that was expressed was their interest in working on a manga. Shinkawa was very enthusiastic about the plan because he felt he could draw directly.
Previously Kojima himself had expressed his desire to work on films in the future, and in the interview he again revealed it. Kojima was eager to work on a film based on Shinkawa’s designs. Furthermore, Kojima also revealed that his team has been preparing to work on several new games. One of them he said was a giant game, while the rest were lighter games with an episodic system.
