Former Guirrella Games developer, Sam Sharma, considers the response from fanboys to be excessive and illogical. For him the game being released on other platforms is a good thing because more people are now able to enjoy the game and for him it is not a logical reason to suddenly hate games that were once so popular.

Herman Hulst, the head of Playstation explained that the PC port of Horizon Zero Dawn was an experiment from them. Exclusives will remain the standard strategy for their console going forward. The port is just a test run for them for a new idea and see what the results are like. For him it was common for a global class company to try this kind of risky thing.

Horizon Zero Dawn has opened a page on Steam. The port is planned for release in the summer of this year.
