Because of the Chinese Government, Tencent Must Turn Off PUBG Mobile

Players from China who want to play the PUBG Mobile game seem to have to be willing to bury their desire. Starting Tuesday, the PUBG Mobile game can no longer be played and has been replaced with a maintenance pop-up. An hour later players who wanted to play PUBG Mobile were instead redirected to a notification about the latest game from Tencent “Game for Peace”.

Game for Peace or Heping Jingying in Chinese is the latest game released by Tencent which is actually still in the process of being worked on and has not been published directly by Tencent. However, now that PUBG Mobile can’t be played anymore, Tencent has to speed up the release of the game, which was originally scheduled to take place this month.

Players can download the Game of Peace through the PUBG Mobile client directly or from the app store directly. Game of Peace itself is a game about military-style shooting where players have to defend the Chinese air base from their enemies.

It turns out that the reason why Tencent stopped the PUBG Mobile game was pressure from the Chinese government. The Chinese government considers that the PUBG Mobile game does not pass the anti-addiction system implemented by Tencent and the Chinese Government. In addition, PUBG Mobile is also considered to contain many elements of violence that are not according to the norm in China.
