Size Download The Last of Us: Part 2 Turns Out Not Up To 100 GB

It’s probably not surprising anymore when the latest AAA games have spectacularly large install sizes. Red Dead Redemption 2 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Destiny 2 hit the 100 GB mark, and The Last of Us: Part 2 was originally expected to break that figure. However, with the early copy being distributed to the media, gamers can now have a clear picture of how much storage they have to prepare.

Based on the image shared by a reddit user, the latest Naughty Dog game turns out to be around 78.3 GB. Compared to the previous Naughty Dog games, this is the game with the highest size they have ever released. In comparison, Uncharted 4 hovers around 48 GB and The Last of Us: Remastered hovers around 44 GB.

Of course, the size of the game file may increase with updates released after the game’s release, but seeing as the game does not have a multiplayer component, it is likely that the game file changes are not so massive.

The Last of Us: Part 2 will release on June 19, 2020 exclusively for PS4.
