The demeanor of monster hunting has become even more phenomenal after Monster Hunter: World released. After being one of the first iterations of the franchise to enter PC, Capcom has now decided to continue the main series with Monster Hunter: Rise which unfortunately is still focused on the Nintendo Switch. Even so, sales did not show any decline at all.

It was announced by Capcom through its official website that the sale of Monster Hunter: Rise has now penetrated more than five million copies worldwide. This number is a combination of the physical and digital versions.

Not only that, Capcom also plans to milk this franchise into other media besides video games in order to increase the franchise value to a higher level. Currently, the total sales of the entire franchise Monster Hunter has reached more than 71 million units. A fantastic achievement which of course would be a shame if it was left stuck in one medium.

Even though in reality the film adaptation Monster Hunter did not get a good reception for the public, but this did not seem to stop Capcom’s efforts to continue to raise its name.
