Tencent Limits Playtime for Children When Playing League of Legends in China

Addicted to playing games seems to still be a major concern for all parties without exception. Starting from the closest people like parents who have to keep an eye on their children playing games until developer nor publisher as the party responsible for the existence games itself.

Bilansir from Engadget, recently Tencent in collaboration with Riot agreed to enforce policies regarding time restrictions for children playing League of Legends after facing pressure from the government China. In order to reduce addiction to play games, children are only allowed to play League of Legends for 2 hours, if they pass the time limit they will be dismissed from the game. According to the party concerned, to find out the player is still a minor or not Tencent requires each player who creates an account to fill in their respective ID numbers to verify their age.

In tune with WHO or World Health Organization who admits addiction games as a health problem, China trying as much as possible to look after children in the country by limiting play games within a certain period of time. Indeed, this is one thing that governments in other countries, including Indonesia, should emulate.

Need to pay attention to play games it’s not forbidden, what’s not allowed is if you keep playing without paying attention to other priorities such as studying, school to other important lives.
