The Horror Devotion Game Returns to Market via its Own Developer eShop

You can now buy it legally.

Because a speck of tilapia is broken in a pot of milk, it may be the right proverb to represent the state of the Red Candle Games. This Taiwanese developer had reaped controversy because of the placeholder file or “marker” which was indirectly insinuated by the President of China, Xi Jin Ping in his latest game, Devotion.

We are now officially on the platform Tiktok! Follow our Tiktok account at @gamebrott.com to find various information and our other interesting video content.

This suddenly made all their marketing contacts in Asia and America cut off contact with them and removed the game from Steam. The publisher’s license in China was even immediately revoked by the local government. Even though in reality Devotion get a very positive response.

Since then Red Candle Games has not given up and has tried to sell the physical version of the game in its own store which is only available in Taiwan. Now, they are trying to re-market it globally.

According to a tweet, Red Candle Games announced that they have created their own eShop to sell their games. This store will offer games separately or in bundles.

Currently the two games, Detention and Devotion Sold in USD which is $11.99 for Detention and $16.99 for Devotion. They offer it no DRM at all for Windows, Mac, and Linux (except Devotion).

Of course every purchase will 100% go to the developer without any deductions to support them in their next project. Those of you who are interested can directly visit the following link to go directly to the store.

Red Candle Games also indirectly announced that they are working on a new game which is also planned to be sold via the store. But they are still reluctant to announce it at all. If you have to guess, it’s likely that they will also make a new horror game that has become the specialty of the Taiwanese developer.
